Danny C. Dossman

A lifelong Central Texan, he has 37 years of experience in the Funeral Business. Following graduation from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Sciences, he took an entry-level Funeral Home position and, through hard work, commitment and attention to detail, has worked his way up to Funeral Home Ownership.

For many years, Mr. Dossman harbored the Dream of building Dossman Funeral Home. When the time came for that Dream to become Reality, he knew exactly what he wanted to build and exactly how he planned to serve Families.

"Our main goal all along has been and will continue to be serving the needs of People and Families the very best way we know how," he says. "That is our Promise, and that is our Commitment."

Mr. Dossman is very active in the Community. He is Past Chairman of the Board of the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce for the Year 2001, also served as Chairman of the nationally- renowned Belton Fourth of July Celebration. He was selected "Citizen of the Year" in 1997. He is an active member and Past President of the Belton Lions Club and was Lion Of The Year in 2007. He is a former City Councilman and Mayor Pro-Tem in Morgan's Point Resort. He and his wife, Kathi, and children, Emily and Nicholas, reside in Belton. The Family attends Christ Episcopal Church in Temple.



Cynthia M. Gibson

Cynthia Gibson was born in Pasadena, Texas and graduated from Sam Rayburn High School in 1982.  She attended San Jacinto Junior College and the University of Houston. A graduate of Commonwealth College of Mortuary Science in Houston Cynthia has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer since 1990. Cynthia married Bill Gibson 1991 and they have one son Tyler Gibson a senior at Temple High School. She is a member First Baptist Church Temple. She enjoys watching Tyler play soccer and traveling to Disneyworld and running half marathons.  Cynthia enjoys a warm relationship with the families she serves and is dedicated to serving those families with the utmost in professionalism and care.



Kathy Parks

Kathy was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.  Raised in a Air Force family she had the opportunity to live all over the country and in Europe.  She graduated from Eisenhower High School in LawtonOklahoma.  Kathy and her husband, Jerry have one son Christopher and one daughter Tracy.  Granddaughter Madison is the light of their life (7 years old).  Kathy worked for a number of years in financial business but now as Office Manager for Dossman Funeral Home she is at the heart of the funeral home and enjoys working with families and assisting them with the many details of a funeral service.   She also enjoys being with her family, reading and spending time traveling to her favorite vacation location at St.John, VI.    



Lonnie Shepherd

Lonnie grew up in Holland, Texas and retired from Scott and White Hospital in 1997 after 37 years of service.  He has been married to his wife Marilyn for 53 years.  They have three children, five grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter.    He has been an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartlett for over 50 years.  He enjoys fishing, traveling and spending time with his great grand daughter. 



Joe Baisden

   

A native of Ellis County, Joe grew up in Killeen.  He graduated from Abilene Christian University with a music degree and did graduate studies in music at the University of Texas with a view to becoming a band director before entering the ministry.  He served churches in Austin, Bloomington, Abilene, and Washington, D. C. before beginning a 33-year pulpit ministry with the Belton Church of Christ.  Immediately upon retiring in January of 2004, Joe joined the support staff of Dossman's and is available as Minister on Staff to help families in need.  Joe and his wife Janelle celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in June of 2009.  They have three children:  Son Donnie and wife Sherry live in Abilene; daughter Jane Anne and husband Scott Cox live in Belton; and daughter Katherine and husband Brent Gibson reside in Waco.  There are six granddaughters.  Joe enjoys community service and has been a long-time member of the Belton Lions Club, the Belton Area Chamber of Commerce, an avid supporter of Belton schools, and is immediate past president of the Friends of the Lena Armstrong Public Library.  He concluded two terms (4 years) on the Belton City Council in May of 2009.  He and Janelle enjoy interim ministry and have served churches in Granbury, Garland, Corpus Christi, Palestine, Brenham, Arlington, Henderson, and Brownwood



Wanda Rhoads

Wanda grew up in Temple area and graduated from Temple high school. Married in 1963 to her husband James Rhoads from Moody, Texas they have made there home in Temple and are very active in church ministry. Wanda worked for thirty years as an independent contractor for Home Interior and Gifts. Presently Wanda is a licensed pre-need counselor for Dossman Funeral Home and works with the family and friends visitations as well.

Wanda and James have two children and five beautiful grandchildren which are the love of their lives.



James Rhoads

James grew up in Moody, Texas graduated from Moody high school and Temple College. James retired in 2005 from Davis Iron Works in Hewitt, Texas. He has been church music ministry for over fifty years and is currently serving as Minister of music at First Baptist Church in Moody. He also is the co-director of Crimson River ministries in Temple. James and his wife Wanda married in 1963 have two children and five grandchildren.



Mary Ann Maddux

Mary Ann was born and grew up in Holland, Texas.  She has been married to Glen Maddux for 59 years and they have made there home in Belton for the past 57 years.  She is a active member of Miller Heights Baptist, a former Sunday School teacher, she currently acts as Sunday School records clerk.  Before retirement she worked for the Bell County Tax District and also worked in the Savings and Loan industry.  She has  2 children and 3 grandchild and 3 great grand children.  Mary Ann is very active in volunteer work which includes the American Cancer Society Relay for Life and acting as an election judge for Bell County.  She also enjoys traveling.   Mary Ann has worked for Dossman Funeral Home from its beginning and enjoys helping families served by the funeral  home.
