Richard Loyd Murdoch

Mr. Murdoch was born September 25, 1933 in Waxahachie, the son of Cecil Loyd Murdoch and Bonnie Lou (Terrell) Murdoch. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He married Lillian Eve Curry, June 18, 1953, in Waxahachie. They lived there until moving to Irving for a short time, then in 1973 they moved to Bell County. Mr. Murdoch worked for Wilsonart for more than 30 years.
Mr. Murdoch served as a councilman for Morgan’s Point Resort. He was a member of the Leon Valley Church of Christ.
Survivors include His wife Lillian Murdoch of Morgans Point Resort; two sons Kevin Murdoch and Todd Murdoch both of Temple; one daughter Beki Johnson of Temple; six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
