Services for Leona Griffin, age 76, of Morgan’s Point Resort will be Monday at 2:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Chapel in Belton with Minister Joe Baisden officiating. Burial will follow in Moffat Cemetery.

Mrs. Griffin died Thursday at her home in Morgan’s Point Resort.

She was born August 3, 1933 in Fort Worth to David and Marie (Teal) Dawson. She married Lou Griffin Sr. on April 2, 1954 in Fort Worth. She moved here from Keller 35 years ago. She was employed at Fort Hood as a Staffing Specialist for 13 years. She was active supporter of the Belton Lions Club for many years. She was a Baptist.

Survivors include her husband, Lou Griffin Sr., of Morgan’s Point Resort, 1 son, Lou Griffin Jr. and wife Rhonda of Temple, 5 grandchildren, Erica Logue and Joss Logue both of Morgan’s Point Resort, Joshua Griffin of Georgetown, Kayla Griffin of Jarrell and Colton Griffin of Temple and also 4 great grandchildren Heather Logue, Tara Logue, Hunter Logue and Destry Griffin.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Vista Care Hospice.
