Leon Rose

Graveside services for Leon E. Rose, 77, of Belton will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2017, at the Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Rose died Sunday January 1, 2017 in a Temple nursing home.

Mr. Rose was born November 3, 1939 in La Crosse, Wisconsin the son of LeRoy and Inga Peterson Rose. He grew up on Indian Hill in La Crosse and graduated from Logan High School. He then joined the U. S. Army in 1958 and spent the next 8 years serving his country. He married Margaret Campbell, March 4, 1964 in Temple. He was a drywall contractor.

Mr. Rose was preceded in death by one son David Rose and one daughter Lisa Kay Rose.

Leon is survived by his wife Margaret, a daughter Cyndi Rose-Loeffler and husband John, two sisters Gloria Kuecker and June Mahoney of La Crosse, Wisconsin, seven nieces and nephews in Wisconsin and several in Texas and Alabama, three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Leon loved everyone and was loved by everyone who knew him. He will be so missed until we meet again.
