Mary Doris Hill

March 22, 1918 — June 17, 2016

Funeral services for Mary Doris Hill, 98, of Holland, will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Holland with Dr. Randy Evans officiating burial will follow at the Holland Cemetery.

Mrs. Hill died Friday, June 17, 2016 in a Temple nursing home.

Mrs. Hill was born in Belton, March 22, 1919, the daughter of Alva Anson Stroud and Addie (Horton) Stroud. She married Elven Lee "Red" Hill in Bell County, August 13, 1938. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Holland.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1976, a daughter Mary Ann Hill in 1966, one son Carroll Wayne Hill in 2001 and daughter-in-law Judy Hill. brothers Hubert Stroud, Lee Stroud, Jess Stroud and Ernest Stroud; and sisters Althea Coach, Freddie Green, Helen Worley, Jean Rollins.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert L. Hill and wife Diane of Holland and Bill Hill and wife Kay of Taylor; two sisters Daffney Leatherman of Taylor and Nell McKenzie of Tyler; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
