Graveside services for Mamie D. Smith, 70, of Troy, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the North Belton Cemetery with Rev. Darren Rich officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 6-8 PM at the Dossman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Smith died Monday December 7, 2015 in her home.

Mrs. Smith was born September 29, 1945 in Temple, the daughter of Virgil and Jewel Snowgren. She married Larry Smith August 10, 1968 in Temple. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter.

Survivors include her husband Larry Smith of Troy, son Jeffery "Jethro" Smith of Belton and Patrick Smith of College Station, one daughter Anita Hines of Troy; three sisters Maureen Tate of Temple, Judy Surovik of Belton and Carleen Allsup of Temple and six grandchildren.
