Carey James Laird

Belton--- A private memorial service is to be held by the family of Carey James Laird with Dossman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Laird passed away Saturday, September 27, 2014, at his home in Temple. He was born September 20, 1954 in Mankato, Minnesota, the son of James and Doris Laird. He served his country in the United States Navy for three and a half years. He has lived in the area for 30 years after moving from Dodge City, Kansas. James was a diver, and loved to travel. He was a loving father and grandfather. James was a carpenter by trade. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Douglas Laird; one sister, Vickie Young. Survivors include his daughters, Amber Morgan and Nicole Voss; a brother, David Laird; one sister, Debbe Nagy; and two grandchildren, Grace Ann Morgan and Hannah Voss.
