Foy Lynn Green

Belton--- Funeral services for Foy Lynn Green, age 75 of Belton, will be held 10:00AM, Monday, July 21, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Little River, Texas were he was a member for some time, with Rev. Jim Watson officiating under the direction of Dossman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Wilson Valley Cemetery in Little River. Visitation will be held at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton from 6 to 8PM Sunday, July 20, 2014. Foy Lynn passed away July 17, 2014 at his home. He was born in Marlin, Texas, March 5, 1939, the son of Ira Guy Green and Francis (Miller) Green. He married Anna Maxine (Adams) Green on September 25, 1958 in Little River. Foy's family moved to Temple when he was a young boy and lived in the Temple/Belton area the rest of his life. He served 2 years in the Texas National Guard. He worked as a gas station attendant and later as an owner operator of a gas station. He then worked for Temple Wheel and Brake. Then he worked and retired from Wilson Art after 28 years, he then worked for Johnson Brothers Ford. He and Maxine loved to travel. They were members of the Chisholm Trail Good Sam Chapter. He really loved to go to California, Las Vegas, Montana, South Dakota and Colorado. Foy is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Miller Green and wife Amy; two brother-in-laws, Eugene Bolen and Charles Phillips; and a great-great grandson, Braydin Weaver. Survivors include his wife, Anna Maxine Green of 55 years of Belton; two sons, Larry Ray Green and wife Linda of Belton, Chester Ira Green and wife Loretta of Florence; one daughter, Dianna Lynn (Green) Preston and partner Jack Tucker of Killeen; two sisters, Marquerite Bolen of California, Dorothy Phillips of Nebraska; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Foy has requested that all gentlemen do not wear a suit or coat or tie, he said it's just too hot for that.
