Belton--- Funeral services for Maria C. Rodriguez, 73, of Belton are pending with Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Mrs. Rodriguez died Sunday, June 26, 2011, in a Temple hospital. Mrs. Rodriguez was born July 28, 1937 in Mexico, the daughter of Leocadio and Petra (Salazar) Serna. She married Jose Rodriguez in Mexico. She was a homemaker. She was a member of The Church of God of The First Born in Belton. She was preceded in death by her husband, three daughters Sara Moreno, Loreto Rodriguez and Magdalena Moctezuma; and one son Gerardo Rodriguez. Survivors include three sons, Salvador Rodriguez of Mexico, Abel Rodriguez of Mexico and Enrique Rodriguez of Belton; five daughters Ermelinda Rodriguez and Eva Rodriguez both of Mexico, Elena Rodriguez of Austin, Carmen Perez of Belton and Josefina Perez of Belton. Two brothers Alfonso Serna and Pedro Serna both of Mexico. 40 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
