Jimmie M. Bell passed away from a long illness at his home on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at the age of 79. He was born on March 8, 1931 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Mr. Bell moved to Belton in 1980. He was a Choctaw Indian by blood and was active participant in the Choctaw Nation. He served in the military as a Medic for 20 years and retired in 1968. He then worked in the Radiology Department at the VA Hospital in Temple until he retired in 1995. He is survived by Eva, his wife of 44 years, three sons, Nick, Jimmie, and Robert Bell. He had three grandchildren, Landon, Nicole, and Joshua and two daughters-in-law, Kristi and Martess (Mai-Mai) Bell. He had two brothers, George and Ralph and one sister Shirley Bell. Three nephews, Joe, Mack, and Lee, and a niece Darlina Lingo. Graveside services will be Saturday, October 2, 2010, at North Belton Cemetery with Rev. Wiley Zinn officiating. In Lieu of flowers memorials to American Cancer Society.
