John Charley Carnes

Funeral services for John C. Carnes, age 53, of Holland will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Holland with Rev. Randy Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Holland Cemetery. Mr. Carnes died Friday in a Temple hospital. John was born March 9, 1957 in Temple, Texas to Joe Charlie and Velma Pearl (Allen) Carnes. He attended schools in Troy and has lived in Holland for a number of years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holland and was a carpenter for most of his life. Survivors include a son, Charles D. Carnes of Waco, mother, Velma Carnes of Holland, 3 brothers, Ray Wayne Carnes of Troy, Joe Allen Carnes of Temple and Glenn Edward Carnes of Attleborough, Mass., 2 sisters, Barbara Sue Wooley of Holland and Mary Margaret Keyes of Temple. There will be visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
