Lila Jean Gholson

Services for Lila J. Gholson, 69, of Morgan's Point Resort will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at her home, 6 Windward. Her ashes will be interred at a later date at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. Mrs. Gholson died Sunday, Feb. 7, at a Temple hospital. She was born Dec. 17, 1940, in Franklin County, Ill., to Arol C. and Edna Smith Kern. She married Franklin "Armadillo" Gholson on Feb. 20, 1960, in Benton, Ill. She had lived in Central Texas for more than 20 years. She was a Baptist. Survivors include her husband; a son, Douglas Gholson of Belton; a daughter, Debbie Bromley of Belton; a brother, Wayne Kern; a sister, Janet Linkey; and three grandchildren.
