Funeral services for Anthony Smith, 51, of Belton, will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the Dossman Funeral Home.

Mr. Smith died Friday evening July 31, 2026 in a Temple hospital.

Mr. Smith was born January 13, 1975, in Temple, the son of Greg and Josephine (Baladez) Smith. He grew up in Belton and attended Belton High School. He was a long-time manager for Tacala Corp, eventually serving as district manager.

Mr. Smith loved life. He was witty and generous, full of glee, but always a comic. He loved the beach, movies and music. He also had a sweet tooth he loved to indulge. Mostly he loved his family and friends including his niece and nephews and his precious Yorkies.

Survivors include his parents, Greg and Josephine Smith; his partner Sam Gillum; two brothers Michael Smith and wife Monica, and Gregory Smith Jr., niece Jennifer Smith, and nephews Christopher Smith, Anthony I. Smith and Gregory I. Smith; and his beloved Yorkies, Mila and Miley.
