Barbara passed away peacefully and entered through the gates of heaven into the arms of our heavenly Father on August 5, 2025. She was born on August 16, 1935, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Ed and Louise Braznell, and a three-year old sister Lou. Barbara was beloved by her family and was surrounded by them in body and spirit when she passed.

Barbara graduated from Carter Riverside High School, where she was a cheerleader and enjoyed her high school years. She then attended Texas Christian University, where she met Air Force Captain Charles Wilfong. They married in 1955 at Robert Carr Chapel, on the TCU campus, and then moved to Mather Air Force Base in California, where they had three children. She moved back to Texas in 1968, and it was at that time when she and her children joined St. Luke United Methodist Church, and she became an active member of the Emmanuel Sunday School class. She met and married Bill Kimbrough, whom she dearly loved. Barbara was very analytical and chose a career in Bookkeeping. She served in later years on the staff at St. Luke UMC, in the area of Finance.

Barbara was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers baseball team. She enjoyed going to their games and watching them on TV. She participated in her family Fantasy Baseball draft, and she had all the stats of the players ready on hand, so she could choose the best players for her team! She enjoyed playing cards, dominos, bowling, painting, and she had a love of beautiful flowers, trees, and red cardinals! She enjoyed music and singing with the Chancel Choir at St. Luke UMC. Above all, she loved her family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, Ed & Louise Braznell, daughter Tarrie Barnett, sister Lou Coursey, husband Bill Kimbrough, nephew Ed Coursey, and granddaughter Jennifer Shields.. She is survived by her son Dwight & Suzi Wilfong of Marble Falls; daughter Charlotte & Darren Walker of Belton; and niece Cathy & Art Gordon of North Richland Hills. She is also survived by nine grandchildren: Johnny Barnett (Jen), Tara Barnett Scherer (Robert), Matthew Rashti (Mary Anna), Nathan Walker (Laura), Nick Walker (Lexie), Nic Wilfong, Chase Wilfong (Geo), Stormie Wilfong Martin (Clint), and Nicole Wilfong Mitchell. Barbara was a great-grandmother to many, and a great-great-grandmother as well! She had an extended family of great nephews: Cory Davis, Ronnie Coursey, Paul Coursey, and David Coursey, as well as her niece Anita Coursey Bookout.
