Billie Jo Lutker

Funeral services for Billie Jo Commander  Lutker will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Mrs. Lutker died Monday, April 18, 2022 in a Temple Hospital.

Billie Jo Commander was born on July 30, 1930 in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the youngest of 12 children. Her parents Tom and Mattie Sutton Commander traveled to Fort Worth in a covered wagon from San Saba, Texas. Billie graduated from Pascal High School in Fort Worth. She married Bob Lutker, February 21, 1950.  While in the Air Force, stationed in Germany, they adopted two children, Donna and David.

Her career included bank vice president and together her and her husband owned and operated a successful florist and greenhouse in the TCU area of Fort Worth. The couple retired to Belton and were active members of the Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death are her two children David and Donna and her husband Bob.

She is survived by a niece Jean Gosney and her husband Robert and nephew, K Thomas Hefner and his wife Patricia and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Belton Church of Christ.
