Clarence Denman Humphrey, affectionately known as Denman, was born on January 24, 1937, in Killeen, Texas to his parents Frank and Marie Humphrey.

Denman was a man with a joyful spirit; he was always seen with a big smile and had an innate ability to connect with everyone he met, never knowing a stranger. His personality was vibrant and infectious, which endeared him to friends and family alike. Whether he was sharing a joke or lending a helping hand, Denman left an imprint of warmth on the hearts of those around him.

Denman found immense joy in gardening, particularly in cultivating his vegetable garden. He passionately shared the fruits of his labor with his community, often selling vegetables by the roadside near his home. In addition to his gardening pursuits, Denman was also an avid baker, famous for his Yum Yum cakes, which he generously offered to friends, spreading sweetness wherever he went. Music was another cherished aspect of Denman's life. He delighted in gospel and old country music.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Phyllis Reed and Kelli Oloffo; his stepdaughters, Denise Mayfield and Darlene McMillin; his grandchildren; Lauren Keenan, Branson Reed, Justin Reed, Corey Lightfoot, Cody Lightfoot, Cade Lightfoot, Wade Whiteside, Megan Graham, Jayson Champion, Josh Fulton, Shannon Heinzen, and Michal Mayfield; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Denman is reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife, Pat Humphrey, and six siblings who preceded him in death, Eugene Pinkney Humphrey, Clyde Wendall Humphrey, Johnny Frank Humphrey, William Carl Humphrey, and Billie Ruth Humphrey-Meikle.
