Dorothy Madden got her wings on July 16th 2026. She passed away in Temple Texas surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. She was born May 27th 1934 at home in Keys Valley , Texas to the late Arthur and Lovie Ellis McDaniel. She returned to Belton to spend the remainder of her life after traveling with spouse in the military which included a stay in France. She is survived by 5 children, Eddie Smith of Temple, TX, and wife Linda. Deborah Barber of Deer Park, Tx., Richard Smith of Belton, Tx., Pamela Blalock of Clark, Tx. and husband Roy and Kenneth Smith of Crystal Beach, TX and wife Stacye. She has 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 24 great great-grandchildren.                                                       

The picture of Dorothy shows her free spirit and love of life. She will be remembered for her laughter and her love for Jesus. She had an open-door policy for a chat or long visit. She never knew a stranger. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten. Heaven gained another angel. A graveside memorial service will be 10 am Saturday the 25th at Rest haven cemetery in Belton by Roy Blalock.
