Fernando de Leon de la Garza, MD, 97, of Belton died, November 28, 2025, at his home.
Dr. de Leon was born in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Juana Priscilliana de la Garza Rodriguez and Manuel de Leon Arratia. He graduated from Universidad de Nuevo Leon Medical School in 1952 and married Beatriz Roiz Ceballos on May 2, 1953. He completed his residency at Charleston General Hospital in Charleston, West Virginia and Santa Rosa Medical center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. de Leon practiced medicine in Brownsville, Texas for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 2010.
Survivors include three children, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
