Drema Louise Cook, born on September 4, 1943, in Marytown, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, in Harker Heights, Texas. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a viewing at Dossman Funeral Home, located at 2525 N Main St, Belton, Texas, on May 12, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be held at the Central Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery, 11463 Texas 195, Killeen, Texas, on May 13, 2025, starting at 9:00 AM.
Drema had a variety of interests that brought her happiness; she loved to fish, an activity that connected her with nature and provided countless tranquil moments by the water. Additionally, she enjoyed crocheting intricate patterns and crafting with beads creating beautiful pieces that were treasured by her family. Drema savored time spent basking in the Texas sun over the last few years.
She is survived by her children Charles Sturgeon, Chelsea Sturgeon, Tina Emrick, and Sandra Spoon. Her legacy continues through her ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride. She also leaves behind her brother, Eddie Adams, and sister, Alisa Hedrick.
Preceding Drema in death are her beloved husbands, Charles Sturgeon and Basil Cook, both of which were military veterans. Also, her sister, Patricia McGrew and two grandchildren.
