A Rosary for Frank Roger Serota, 85, of Belton will be recited at 9:00 AM, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Dossman Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will follow at 11:00 AM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Mr. Serota died Friday, June 26, 2026 at his home.

Roger was born January 17, 1941, in Edinburg, Texas, the son of Frank and Anna (Rogiers) Serota. He served in the United States Navy from 1960-1966. He married Mary Frances Bartnesky, August 31, 1964 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Edinburg, Texas.

He lived in the Rio Grande Valley until moving to Central Texas in 1995. He was a machinist. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton and a member of Knights of Columbus at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple.

He was a devoted member of the Belton Senior Center, where he formed many friendships while playing Canasta and dominoes. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, and no gathering was complete without a “friendly” game of cards. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or a hand of cards, he treasured every moment with those he loved, leaving behind memories that will be cherished for years to come. Hotfradoma!

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, on June 10, 2026.

Survivors include children, Kenneth Alan Serota, Katherine Ann Jones and husband David; and John Carl Serota and wife Shelly; one brother Tom Serota and one sister Loraine Serota Kirfman; five grandchildren, Kelsey Marie, Connor Reid, Kayla Annelise, Annabelle Marie and Ryan Michael.
