With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Gary Robert Crosswhite, who passed away on July 20, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on September 29, 1968, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, after retirement Gary made his home in Belton, Texas, where he built a life defined by love, laughter, loyalty, and an unwavering dedication to his family.

Gary proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment throughout his military career and long after his retirement. Those who knew him admired his strength, integrity, and willingness to put others before himself.

More than anything, Gary was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, coach, grandfather, and friend. His family was the center of his world, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. Whether he was riding his beloved Harley-Davidson, cheering on the Chicago Bears and the New York Yankees, coaching youth baseball, bowling with friends, or simply enjoying a family gathering, Gary embraced life with enthusiasm, a contagious smile, and a heart big enough for everyone.

Gary was first married to Jill Crosswhite, with whom he shared six children: Crystal, Ryan, Gary Jr., Chase, Brody, and Bryce. He later married Jami Crosswhite, and together they welcomed their son, Jaxon. Gary also proudly embraced Jasmine as his bonus daughter.

One of Gary’s greatest joys was being “Papa.” He adored his grandchildren, Kian, Kaiden, and Cruz, who brought endless laughter, pride, and happiness into his life. His legacy of love will continue through them and through the newest member of the family—a grandson who will have the privilege of knowing his grandfather through the stories, memories, and love shared by those whose lives Gary touched.

Gary will be remembered for his sense of humor, generous heart, unwavering loyalty, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. He had a gift for bringing people together, mentoring youth, sharing stories, offering advice, and making lasting memories. His strength, sense of humor, kindness, and unconditional love left an impression that will never fade.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Jami Crosswhite; his children, Crystal, Ryan, Gary Jr., Chase, Brody, Bryce, Jaxon, and Jasmine; his beloved grandchildren, Kian, Kaiden, and Cruz; his mother, Rosemarie Crosswhite; his brother, Eddy Crosswhite (Melissa); his sister, Angela Fuller (Terry); his cherished nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Crosswhite.

Gary’s greatest accomplishment wasn’t measured by awards or titles—it was the family he loved so deeply. He was happiest when everyone was together, whether around the lake, at a baseball game, out on a motorcycle ride, at the bowling alley or simply laughing and making memories. He had a way of making every gathering feel special, and his love for his family was evident in everything he did.

Although his passing leaves an immeasurable void, his legacy lives on through the values he instilled in his children, the love he shared with his grandchildren, the lessons he taught on and off the ball field, and the countless stories that will continue to be told for generations. He will be remembered not only for his strength and sense of humor, but for the way he loved so completely and made the people around him feel like family.
