Gloria Gonzales

Funeral services for Gloria Gonzales, 62, of Temple will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, August 7, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton with Rev. Sang Quan officiating. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Gonzales died Saturday August 1, 2026 in a Temple hospital.

Mrs. Gonzales was born October 1, 1963, in Belton, the daughter of Alfredo Benavidez and Beatrice (Garza) Benavidez. She married Roberto Gonzales October 28, 1978, in Belton. She had a long career with Wal-Mart in Temple as a receiving clerk for 34 years, retiring in 2022. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton.

Gloria loved to do crafts. Her specialty was crafting wreaths for all occasions and themes. She loved the color purple. Mostly she loved her husband, children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Alfredo Benavidez Jr and Ambroccio "Butch" Benavidez and one sister Mary Dominguez.

Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Roberto Gonzales; two sons Robert Gonzales Jr and wife Jessica, and Randy Gonzales; one daughter Krystal Quintero and husband William, one brother Thomas Benavidez and wife Juanita; one sister, Viola McCann and husband Mike; and four grandchildren, Robert Gonzales III, Rosalie Faith Gonzales, Radley Owen Gonzales and Rendon Lee Gonzales
