James “Jimmy” Grant Hibbeler, 73, of Belton went home to Jesus on October 10, 2020 at Temple Baylor Scott and White Hospital.
Mr. Hibbeler was born June 26, 1947 in Pasadena, Texas. He was the son of James Edker and Jane (Grant) Hibbeler. He was a 1966 Belton High School Graduate. He served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969 and retired from the VA hospital after 19 years of service.
He was a man with many talents, from building wood furniture to engineering custom machinery and parts. Thanks to his unusual abilities with mechanical engineering and car troubles, he met and married his wife, Wanda, of 23 years. He married Wanda (Adams) Peterson, in Sonora, Texas on September 4, 1997.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hibbeler; two sons, Keith, and Steven Peterson; a sister, Sally Hibbeler; a brother, Clyde Hibbeler and a granddaughter, Madison Paige Peterson.
Burial will be 2 PM, October 21, 2020 at The Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
