Jimmy Duane Ashby

Jimmy D. (JD) Ashby, age 91, of Little River Academy, Texas, passed away on July 16, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1935, in Belton, Texas, to Vada and Delma (Stump) Ashby.

He was proceeded in death by his wife Mary Lisenbe Ashby and daughter Cathy R. Ashby. He is survived by his three children, Chapple O. Ashby, Ebbi V. Ashby, and Jimmy K. Ashby. JD was a grandfather to eight grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Jimmy would want everyone to know that he was a Christian and member of the 3 C Cowboy Fellowship Church. He was inducted into the Bell County Cowboy Hall of Fame and loved ranching and farming. JD was a huge Academy Bumblebee fan and sports enthusiast.
