Funeral services for Katherine (Kitty) Knowles, 87, of Morgan's Point Resort, will be held at 10 AM Friday, February 24, 2023, at the Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM at Oak Grove Memorial Garden in Irving.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 - 7:00 PM Thursday evening at Dossman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Knowles died Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her home.

Mrs. Knowles was born June 2, 1935 in Hill County, the daughter of Joe and Ola Bell (Porter) Cochran. She grew up in Frost and attended school there. She worked for 13 years at Standard Brands in Dallas and for 13 years for Dr. Pepper in Irving as a lab tech. She married Charlie Knowles in 1984 in Dallas. They lived in San Antonio for many years before moving to Belton in 1994. She was a longtime member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Knowles was preceded in death by an infant son, her husband and three sisters.

Survivors include one sister Barbara Prince and husband Jimmy of Corsicana and step-daughter Lisa Terry and husband Brian, step- granddaughter Chelci Williams & husband Tommy, step-grandson Brad Terry and wife Brittany and many nieces and nephews.
