Kenneth Hobbs, 74, of Moody, TX., passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at his residence. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 27, from 6-8pm at Dossman Funeral Home. Services will be Saturday, June 28, at First Baptist Belton at 10am. Burial will follow at North Belton Cemetery.

Ken Hobbs was born on November 5, 1950, in Temple, Texas to Elmo and Angeline Srnensky Hobbs.

Ken grew up in Temple, graduated from Temple High School in 1968, attended Temple Junior College and the University of Texas in Arlington. He married Melva Garner Hobbs on October 9, 1971. Ken joined the family business of Temple Color Co. in 1971 and managed the company until July 2012 when the business was sold. He retired from the automotive paint business in December 2013 and continued his ranching business. Ken was a member of First Baptist Church Belton, where he served in the children’s ministry and as a Deacon. He was devoted to his family and loved working with children.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and one brother David Hobbs of Temple.

Ken is survived by his wife of 53 years; two sons Brad Hobbs and wife Lori of Belton, Chad Hobbs and wife Kristi of Thorndale, one daughter Kristi Hobbs Cleere and husband Jason of Madisonville. He is also survived by his six grandchildren who were his pride and joy. Cole Hobbs and wife Mackenzie of Jersey Village, Kyle Hobbs and fiancé Maggie of Irving, Kennedy Hobbs and Kenzie Hobbs of Thorndale, and Kendel Cleere and Kanin Cleere of Madisonville; one brother Dennis Hobbs and wife Lisa of Austin, one sister-in-law Annelle Hobbs of Temple; and one brother-in-law Will Garner and wife Janean of Austin; several nieces and nephews. Ken leaves behind his best friend, his dog Reba. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and Papa, and a true friend that will be dearly missed.
