Larry Dennis Medlin

Larry Dennis Medlin, 79, of Salado passed away at his home on Tuesday, April 21, 2026. 

Funeral services for Larry will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton with Rev. Brian Miller officiating. Burial will be private.

Dennis was born on September 24, 1946 to L.H., Jr. and Betty (Gage) Medlin. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1969 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Engineering. He married his high school sweetheart Marilyn McCall and they just celebrated 59 years of wonderful marriage in January. Larry worked for the National Resource Conservation Service for 34 years and retired in 2001 to start his own company, M&E Consultants. 

Dennis loved watching his grandchildren's activities and his beloved Texas Tech Red Raiders. Dennis and Marilyn are member of the Restoration Fellowship in Holland, Texas.

Mr. Medlin is survived by his wife Marilyn; two sons, Dwayne Lee Medlin and his wife Brenda, Jason Scott Medlin and his wife Jenny and a daughter Becky Parks and her husband Steve. Also surviving are six grandchildren who he was very proud of: Preston Jerome Medlin and his wife Abby, Courtney D'Ann Gilbert and her husband Jimmy, Chandler Dennis Medlin and his wife Vicky, Colby Scott Medlin and his girlfriend Jazi, Megan LeAnn Surgi and her husband Tyler and Trace Capps Medlin and his girlfriend Jannie, as well as great grandchildren Hazel McCall Gilbert, GiGi Medlin, Davi Medlin and Diana Marie Surgi.
