Lydia Sanders

Lydia Sanders, 92, of Belton, TX, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 15, at 6-8pm. Services will be Tuesday, June 16, at 10am. Both will take place at Dossman Funeral Home. Burial will be directly after the service at North Belton Cemetery.

Lydia was born March 29, 1934, in Lampertheim, Germany, the daughter of the late Martin and Margarete Munzenberger.

She was a servant of God and enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, and clogging. But mostly was known as the drapery lady from Custom Draperies by Lydia.

On June 12,1954, she married the love of her life, Felix E. Sanders, Jr., who passed away October 27, 2000.

Lydia is preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Sanders who passed on February 14, 2009, and her sister Katharina Thomas who passed on February 26, 2017.

Sher is survived by her sister Anita Wunder, daughters Monica Sobotka (Steve), Felica Watkins (Mark), and Christel Chesney (John), her son Roy Sanders (Karen), 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
