Mark Anthony DaShiell

Mark Anthony Dashiell, 67, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in Belton, Texas. He was born in Hayward, California, on December 1, 1958.

Mark was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a great sense of humor, was a natural leader, and a passion for helping others. He was an incredible chef and one of his favorite things to do was prepare food for those he loved. Mark loved to travel and was able to visit many different countries. He also had a deep love for skiing and horseback riding. Music was another special part of Mark’s life. He loved to sing, and he especially loved singing hymns.

Mark was the kind of person who helped people without needing anyone to know about it. Getting credit was never important to him. What mattered was knowing he had made someone’s life a little easier or better.

Mark started his career as a registered nurse before going back to school to earn his MBA. He moved into healthcare administration and notably served as director of Medical Management Operations and vice president of Health Care Services for different companies. He was a respected leader, who helped many people along the way, including helping others get started and grow in their own careers. He was known for his kindness and humor as part of his leadership style.

Mark shared 42 years of marriage with his wife, Patricia Dashiell. Together they built a family and a life filled with many memories.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Dashiell; his three daughters, April Byers and her husband, Mike, Diana Wreidt and her husband, Jarod, and Allisen Blair and her husband, Austen; his sisters, Beth Dashiell and her husband, Gary, and Carol Da Shiell and her husband, Ron; his grandchildren, Donavin, Lucas, Natalie, Shane, and Isabelle; and his many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble Dashiell and Dorothy Dashiell, and his sister, Diana Dashiell. Mark will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him. His sense of humor, generosity, kindness, music, and the way he cared for others will never be forgotten. Most of all, he will be remembered for the love he gave his family and the many lives he touched along the way.
