Marva (Livingston) Hurst, 72, of Belton passed away peacefully at her home in Belton surrounded by her family on Monday, February 9, 2026.

Funeral services for Marva will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00 am at the Dossman Funeral Home chapel in Belton with Keven Coggin officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery near Bertram.

Marva was born on December 31, 1953, in Belton, Texas to Marvin and Helen (Cothren) Livingston. She was raised in Belton and was a Belton High School graduate. She married David Hurst on August 7, 1976, in Georgetown. They were married for 49 years before she passed away. Mrs. Hurst worked for Belton ISD as the music educational aide at Southwest Elementary for 13 years before she retired.

Mrs. Hurst was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Helen Livingston; brother, David Livingston; sisters Ann Heard and Elaine Gray; and her grandson A.J. Hegarty. She is survived by her husband, David Hurst; son Alan Hurst and his wife Jessica, daughter, Amanda Hegarty and her husband Andy, and son Bobby Hurst, all of Belton; sisters Mae Livingston and Susie Stevens, of Belton; grandchildren, Chandler Mcgraw, of Middletown, Ohio; Ryan Hurst, of Eagle Pass, Texas; Evlynn, Davis, and Mason Hegarty, and Arya and Xander Hurst, all of Belton; and great-granddaughter, Lucy Hurst, of Plano.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026 from 4-6 PM at Dossman Funeral Home.
