Mary Roberta Dixon
Mary Roberta Dixon, age 98, of Belton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 2, 2026.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on January 7, 2026, at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton Texas with Pastor Bruce Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Belton.
Mary was born March 27, 1927, in Belton, Texas, to the late Luther and Ellen Petty. She grew up and attended school in Nolanville. Mary spent most of her adult life as a dental assistant at Fort Hood and lovingly raising her three children.
She married Dennie Dee Dixon on July 10, 1946. Together they had three children. She enjoyed quilting, dancing, making crafts and cooking. Mary especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid quilter. She made over 100 quilts and even won numerous awards for her masterpieces. She made a special quilt for each of her children, their spouses, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, and even her friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her daughter, Judy Molsbee; her daughter in law, Nancy Lois Hopson Dixon; her sisters Beatrice and Lucille; her brothers: Monk, Curtis, Pete, and Donald; .
She is survived by her sons, Dennie Dixon and wife LoAnn, and Kenneth Dixon; sister, Roselle “Shorty” Moon and husband, Joe, and her son in law, Rick Molsbee; grandchildren, Sara Jo Poynter and husband Chad, Kari Belt and husband Brandon, Holly Pullen and husband Kyle, Jeb Dixon and wife Desiree, Marla Ferguson and husband Dave, Deann Atchley and husband Jared, Marian Toups and husband Roland, Susan Tacchi and husband Charles, Jeremy Molsbee and wife Melissa, Zachary Molsbee and wife Patricia; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and one on the way, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
On behalf of our family, thank you to the staff at The Meadows in Gatesville, Texas for the exceptional care you provided to Mary over the past three years. Your professionalism, warmth, and genuine concern for her well-being made a lasting difference in her life and in ours. We deeply appreciate all you did to care for her with dignity and compassion.
