A Graveside service and Rosary for Mary Frances Serota, 81, of Belton, will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. A Rosary will be recited at 8:00 AM, prior to the service, Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton.
Mrs. Serota died June 10, 2026 at her home in Belton.
Mrs. Serota was born September 16, 1944 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Albin Daniel Bartnesky and Marie Katherine (Keiser) Bartnesky. She married Frank Roger Serota, August 31, 1964, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg, Texas. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and attended church at Christ the King Catholic Church in Belton.
She enjoyed gardening and butterfly and deer watching, finding peace and happiness in the beauty of nature. Above all else, she cherished her family and dedicated her life to caring for those she loved. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew her.
Mrs. Serota worked for more than 30 years at Edinburg Medical Center as the office manager. She moved to Bell County in 1994. She then went to work for Scott and White Hospital as Billing Manager until retiring in 2009.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Frank Roger Serota; children, Kenneth Alan Serota, Katherine Ann Jones and husband David, and John Carl Serota and Michelle; three brothers, Albin Daniel Bartnesky, Mark Stephen Bartnesky and Kenneth Lawrence Bartnesky; and five grandchildren, Kelsey Marie, Connor Reid, Kayla Annelise, Annabelle Marie, and Ryan Michael.
Memorials may be made to the Belton Senior Center.
