Mathew James Rodgers

A celebration of life for Mathew James Rodgers, 54, of Morgans Point Resort will be held at 22 Walnut Rd
Morgan's Point, TX on Saturday April 8th from 10am to 2pm.


Mr. Rodgers died Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at his home in Morgans Point Resort.


Mathew Rodgers known to family and friends as "Matt" was born August 6, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of James and Charlotte Kay Rodgers. He moved to central Texas from Detroit in 2012. He met Margie Sperry in 2011 and they later married on October 16, 2017 in Temple TX. He was a Tattoo Artist for over 30 years and also a truck driver for three years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and rebuilding motors.


Survivors include his wife, Margie Sperry , father James Rodgers and his wife Rosie; two stepsons, Kevin Whitney and wife Nancy Robles, Raymond Malina and wife Casey; one brother Joseph Rodgers and wife Kristen; three grandchildren; Rayleigh Malina, Nichole Irving and Nathan Irving.
