It is with profound sorrow and deep respect that we announce the passing of Sergeant First Class (SFC) Patricia LeAnne Mintonye—Breedlove, United States Army (Retired), who departed this life after a courageous battle with illness. She was a devoted wife, sister, and soldier who served her country with unwavering commitment for 20 honorable years as a Senior Telecommunications Chief.

Born with a quiet strength and a sharp mind for communication systems, Patricia enlisted in the U.S. Army where she would become a trailblazer in her field, rising through the ranks to become a trusted leader and mentor. Her technical expertise, mission focus, and unwavering dedication earned her the respect of her peers and subordinates alike. Through every deployment, training mission, and command assignment, SFC Mintonye—Breedlove embodied the Army values of loyalty, duty, respect, and honor.

While stationed overseas in Germany, Patricia met the love of her life, Antonio L. Breedlove, a fellow soldier. Their bond was immediate and enduring. Just six months later, they were married in an intimate and meaningful ceremony in Christenfeld, Denmark. Together, they built a life anchored in mutual respect, devotion, and service.

In addition to her decorated military career and cherished marriage of 32 years, Patricia was a beloved sister. She is survived by her two brothers, Jon Randle Young and Mike Mintonye, and her sister, Susanne Randle. She was a source of wisdom, laughter, and strength for her family, who will forever remember her fierce loyalty and compassionate heart.

SFC Patricia LeAnne Mintonye—Breedlove’s legacy is one of courage, commitment, and love. Her love for animals was paramount, her passion for horses in particular was her most enduring quality. Animals just seemed to gravitate towards her. She will be remembered not only for her service to the nation, but for the lives she touched, the values she lived by, and the love she gave so freely.

She served with honor. She lived with grace. She loved without limits.

She will be deeply missed.
