Randall K. Smith

A memorial service for Randall Smith, 66, of Temple will be held Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church in Belton with Rev. Darren Walker officiating.

The family will receive friends for visitation 5-7 PM Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Dossman Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Smith died Saturday, May 31, 2025 in Jarrell.

Mr. Smith was born January 19, 1959 in Rock Island, Illinois, the son of John and Roberta (Towers) Smith. He married Elizabeth Evans August 1, 1992 in Belton. He was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in Belton.

He was retired from the Temple Fire Department, but had also been a volunteer fireman for Stillhouse and Belton Fire Departments. He held many certifications for EMS. He was also a talented carpenter. After retiring from the City of Temple he went to work briefly for the BNSF Railroad as a conductor.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth Smith; son Michael Smith and two step-children, Sara Guy and Anthony Rovetto; mother-in-law Judy Evans; five brothers John Smith, Rick Smith, David Smith, Ben Smith and Marvin Smith; one sister Roberta Rader; and five grandchildren.
