Reba Douglas, 90, of Belton, died Sunday, November 23, 2025, in a Temple nursing home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6pm on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Dossman Funeral Home.
Mrs. Douglas was born February 13, 1935, in Waco, the daughter of Jewell and Ethel (Wolfe) Sorley. She attended Baylor University before marrying Roy Douglas, August 20, 1955 in Waco.
She worked for Waco Drug at the Pharmacy while she was a teenager and as a meter maid in Temple, mostly she was a homemaker once her children were born.
She was an artist, a cake decorator, and loved the outdoors. She also loved cranking her music up to dance to Herb Albert and the Tijuana brass. She could also be found first in line for Neil Diamond and John Denver concert tickets. In her 50’s, she earned her CDL, and was proud to have earned double trailer and Hazmat certifications.
She was a longtime member at Immanuel Baptist Church in Temple where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school and Vacation Bible school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the lover of her life, on October 17, 2013.
Survivors include one son Russell Glynn Douglas; one daughter Retha Douglas Schulz; two grandsons, Barrett Bryan Schulz and Brent Douglas Schulz; and great grandson, Bryan Schulz.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Temple.
