Rebecca Jane Alleman, affectionately known as Becky, 81, of Moody, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Temple, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at First Baptist Church Moody at 2:00PM. Dossman Funeral Home is assisting with services.
Born on November 18, 1943, in Port Arthur, Texas, she was a proud 5th generation Texan whose legacy is marked by her loving spirit and unwavering commitment to her family and community.
Becky dedicated her career to education, first serving as a physical education teacher before becoming a beloved third-grade teacher. Her nurturing nature and passion for teaching left a lasting impact on countless students, instilling in them a love of learning and a sense of confidence. She was also a published author, sharing her thoughts and experiences with others through the written word.
She was renowned not only for her professional achievements but also for her athleticism. A member of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame for softball, she had a deep love for sports, demonstrating her competitive spirit through her favorite pastimes of tennis and softball.
A strong Christian, Becky found solace and community at the First Baptist Church in Moody, where she actively participated in church activities and embraced her faith with joy.
Becky’s personality shone through in her loving and kind demeanor. She cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, fostering deep connections that would define her legacy. Her family included her husband, James Alleman; her son, James Edward Alleman, III; her daughter, Ginger Alleman Morsbach and husband Erich; and her grandchildren, James Edward Alleman IV, Maximus Alleman, Jane Anne Morsbach, and Carl Victor Morsbach. She is also survived by her sister, Jenny, along with many other family members who held her dear.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Harmon and Bell Wells, her brother Carl Wells, and her sisters Geraldine, Juanita, and Joyce.
As we remember Becky, we celebrate a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to family and community. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit and legacy will endure in the hearts of those who had the great fortune to know her.
