Funeral services for Rose Mary Mondrik, 82, will be held at St Luke Catholic Church in Temple, Texas on December 18, 2025, at 11 am. Born on June 26, 1943, in Cameron, Texas, Rose Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a beloved member of her community. She passed away peacefully in a Belton nursing home on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Rose Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Joseph Matula Sr. and Lois Mary Matula; her loving husband of 57 years, Albert Frank Mondrik; brother, Charles Matula Jr. of Rockdale, TX; and sister, Helen Moore of Belton, TX.
She is survived by her sons, Don Mondrik and wife Milissa, Thomas Mondrik and wife Dawn, all of Belton, TX. Rose Mary’s pride and joy were her grandchildren: Chase Mondrik and wife Megan of Little River, TX; Nicholas Mondrik of Boston, MA; Justin Mondrik and wife Carolina of Fredonia, TX; And her great-granddaughter, Harper Grace Mondrik of Little River, TX.
After graduating from Yoe High School, Cameron in 1961, Rose Mary married the love of her life, Albert Mondrik, on August 4, 1962. Together, they built a life filled with love and family. She dedicated her career to Nursing Home Administration in the Central Texas area, receiving her Administrators license in 1975 after attending Austin Community College. Her commitment to care and compassion influenced many lives in the community.
A faithful member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Rose Mary found peace and joy in her faith. In her free time, she was passionate about arts and crafts, loved gardening and landscaping, and cherished holiday gatherings with family, where she delighted in cooking and decorating.
Rose Mary’s kindness and caring personality left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. Family and friends will always remember her thoughtful gifts given at life’s special occasions.
